Peak Performance Equine Sports Medicine is owned and operated by Sheri Lampin.

After graduating high school in 1992, Sheri enlisted in the United States Air Force and went to Target Intelligence technical school before becoming an Information Management Specialist. She was stationed in Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, and Peterson AFB, Colorado during her active duty time and then served 2 years in the Air Force Reserves assigned to Peterson AFB and Schriever AFB in the Colorado Springs area.

After serving in the Air Force, Sheri graduated from the University of Southern Colorado in 2002, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science/health promotion and became a Certified Athletic Trainer. While earning her bachelor’s degree, Sheri completed 1,500 athletic training internship hours at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. She went on to receive her master’s degree in health and kinesiology from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2004 while working at Whitehouse High School as an athletic trainer.

After grad school, Sheri worked at the University of Wyoming where she worked as the athletic trainer for the volleyball and women’s soccer teams. She also worked extensively with the wrestling and swimming & diving teams at Wyoming and was a clinical instructor, teaching classes in the athletic training curriculum program.

In 2005, Sheri returned to the Air Force Academy as a full time staff athletic trainer working with swimming & diving, water polo, and women’s gymnastics. She also worked with the women’s basketball team for 10 years and is currently in her 6th season with the cross country/track and field program at Air Force.

Sheri also has been a 17-year volunteer for the Justin Sports Medicine Team PRCA Rodeo and a 15-year volunteer for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers Association. She has also volunteered with USA Basketball Junior Olympic Team and the CISM World Military Games.

Throughout her sports medicine career, Sheri has received her certification in Graston Technique Therapy, been trained in Graston Equine soft tissue mobilization, laser therapy, dry needling, cupping, and other manual therapy techniques.

A native of Glenrock, Wyoming, Sheri and her husband, Jessie, live in Larkspur, Colorado.
